Steps to Apply for Indian Student Visa

  • Step 1 - Prepare all documents required  for application as given here.

  • Step 2 - Use a desktop computer or Laptop to go the visa application website, using this link.

  • Step 3 - Click on the Regular/Paper Visa Application at the bottom left, to open the following window.

  • Step 4 - Fill your country -> Choose Nearest Indian Mission -> Fill Nationality and other details.

    • Note - Visa Type must be - STUDENT VISA

    • Note - Purpose must be - FOR HIGHER EDUCATION (INCLUDING IN SOUTH ASIAN UNIVERSITY AND NALANDA UNIVERSITY), PROVISIONAL STUDENT VISA

  • Step 5 - Follow the steps and fill out necessary information and upload photo at designated step.

  • Step 6 - On successful filling of form, note down your application ID and print the form.

  • Step 7 - Book an appointment for the next available date as per your convenience (well in advance of your travel) from the link provided on the same page.

  • Step 8 - Visit the selected High Commission of India at least 30 mins before your appointment with all documents and Visa Application fee.
